Monday 13 May - English grammar, punctuation and spelling papers1 and 2.
The children will be given 10 weekly spellings for the term on a sheet, which will need to be practised at home. These words relate to our spelling work in class and will be tested each week.
Children are expected to read EVERY night for approximately 20-30 minutes. Further information about how to support your child with reading will be sent out on a separate sheet.
We will be sending home a pack of times tables and divisions. Your child should know which one they are currently working on. These will be tested weekly.

We expect our children to behave in a polite and thoughtful manner to all members of the school community.

Our motto is:

It’s ok if you don’t know
But it’s not ok if you don’t try!

Making mistakes help us learn and thoughts help us grow!

Remind your child that: “I can’t do it,” does not exist. Encourage them to think,

“I can’t do it…. Yet!”

On occasion, the children will be randomly paired up with a new learning partner. This helps to develop the children’s relationships with their classmates and ensures that all children are involved in whole class discussions.

PE kit:

Please could we have PE kit in school at all times.
All PE items should be clearly named.
The day PE is on will change for different terms for different classes.
Children are allowed to wear tracksuits for winter PE outdoors.
Some sessions during the year will be taken by Grovelands Active with the support of the class teacher.
