Parent Information Contact

Hello. My name is Chris Nash. I have been a class teacher at Grovelands School for more than ten years. Currently I work with children in year one and year two. I also have the role of being a PIC - Parent Information Contact.

What is a Parent Information Contact?

parent-information-contactParent Information Contacts (PICs) help families get information about local services and sources of help.

It is my job to share information that can help you. I am readily available as a point of contact for parents and carers who are looking for advice. Do you have questions, concerns or worries about your child, their education, school life, childcare, after school clubs or how to support your family? If you do then I'm the person to ask. I can help you find answers to your questions. I am here for you to talk to.

You can contact me by email at or by phone on 01323 840062.

    14/12/201630 hours of free childcare
The 30 hours a week of free childcare for 3 and 4 year old children of working parents goes live in September 2017. The free childcare is available for families where: both parents are working each parent earns the equivalent of 16 hours a week at the national minimum or living wage, and earns less than £100,000 a year or the sole parent is working in a lone-parent family The childcare could be available from a day nursery, nursery school, playgroup, childminder, nursery attached to a school and your child’s care could be available from more than one of the above. To help the local authority and childcare providers meet your needs, we are asking parents and parents-to-be what childcare they think they will need in the future. We will take what you say and work with childcare providers to try and make this available if possible.
